Valve's Steam Deck OLED launches in a limited white edition but costs more
When Valve announced the Steam Deck OLED, it was available in two colors — black and a limited edition transparent color variant that was exclusive to the 1TB variant. Now, it has announced another limited edition color option that is once again only available in the 1TB configuration.
Dubbed the Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White, the new Valve gaming handheld comes in an off-white shell with gray buttons, save for the power button which remains orange. It also comes in an exclusive white carrying case along with a white microfiber cloth.

Valve says the new color way will be available in limited quantities worldwide, including Australia where the Steam Deck just launched. It will be available to buy on November 18 at 3 PM PST (November 19th, at 10 AM AEDT). Valve says stock has been allocated proportionally across each region.
It will also restrict purchase to one unit per steam account, and the account must have made a steam purchase before November 2024. Valve has also revealed that once stock is finished, it won't be making more, which is the point of a limited edition.
The Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White will cost $679 in the US, making it $30 more expensive than the 1TB black variant. However, save for the color, there's no difference between the two. If you already own a Steam Deck LCD or OLED in black, you can make it white by purchasing a skin such as this Matte Vinyl Skin that's $30 on Amazon.
