Valve has added the Steam Deck OLED to its refurbished store. You can buy one for as little as $439, and it comes with a one-year warranty.

Earlier this year, Valve announced it would be selling refurbished Steam Decks directly from its website. At that time, it was limited to only the LCD mode. Now, that has extended to the OLED variant. You can buy one starting at $439 ($110 lesser than new) for the 512 GB variant. Its 1 TB version will set you back by $519 ($130 cheaper than new).

Every refurbished Steam Deck OLED gets the same support as a new one would, complete with a one-year warranty. Valve says each unit goes over one hundred tests to ensure they function properly. If they don't, you can send them back, and you'll get another refurbished unit as a replacement. The company claims the only difference between a new Steam Deck OLED and a refurbished one is cosmetic differences. However, stick drift is an ever-looming spectre that could strike anytime.

Thankfully, the Steam Deck is a very repairable console. You can simply buy spare parts off iFixit and follow their detailed repair guides to get your console game-ready again. With the Steam Deck 2 nowhere close to launch, those on a tight budget can consider a refurbished Steam Deck OLED for their gaming needs. While it might not be able to play every AAA game that launches, there are plenty of older, less resource-heavy titles that can keep you occupied for years.
