Anbernic has now officially presented the RG406H. Not only has the company the device's existence, but it has also showcased the gaming handheld in three colours playing classic PS2 games like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and God of War II. Seemingly, even Nintendo Wii titles are playable too.

Another new Anbernic retro gaming handheld is now official, having surfaced in a new leak yesterday. Effectively, the company has confirmed that the RG406H will be its next release, which will follow the RG P01 wireless controller that landed on October 29.

By contrast, it remains to be seen when Anbernic will make the RG406H available. In the meantime, it has showcased the device in three colour options, which will all sport RGB backlit joysticks. Moreover, all RG406H units will pack a 4-inch IPS touchscreen display that outputs at 960 x 720 pixels.

Furthermore, Anbernic's teaser video highlights that the device should be powerful enough to emulate PlayStation 2, GameCube and Nintendo Wii games. On top of that, the RG406H will be capable of outputting at 1080p to an external display via USB Type-C and DisplayPort Alt Mode. If that sounds familiar, it may be because the RG406H is expected to be a reworked RG406V (curr. $229.99 on Amazon), which Anbernic equips with a Unisoc T820 chipset.
