Casio has launched a trio of new watches in its 2024 Precious Heart Collection in Japan. The range is said to be inspired by “roses that bloom in adversity”. The lineup includes the DW-5600RS-8JF, the GMD-S5610RS-8JF and the BGD-565RS-8JF.
The G-Shock DW-5600RS-8JF has a blue color scheme with a thorny stem pattern around the digital display. Features include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a timer and multiple alarms. The LED Super Illuminator backlight helps you to read the watch in the dark and features a rose design. The watch measures 48.9 mm (~1.9 inches) across and is said to run for up to five years.
The G-Shock GMD-S5610RS-8JF has a similar design to the 5600, though it has a yellow design with silver accents. It is slightly smaller at 45.7 mm (~1.8 inches) wide and has a short expected battery life of three years. The features are identical to the DW-5600RS-8JF, as is the ¥15,400 (~$100) price tag.
The final watch in the series is the Baby-G BGD-565RS-8JF, with a pink and silver color scheme. The same thorny stem and backlight rose are featured, though this model is smaller in size again, measuring 42.1 mm (~1.7 inches) across. Like the S5610, it runs for up to three years, though its waterproof rating is 10ATM rather than 20ATM. This is the cheapest watch in the range, priced at ¥11,550 (~$75).
It is unclear whether or when these models could launch in other countries such as the US. In the meantime, you could consider buying a different G-Shock 5600 series watch, like the DW5600E-1V (curr. $48.48 at Amazon).
