A new Bait x Casio G-Shock DW5600 watch has been unveiled. Bait, a premium concept store based on America’s West Coast, has collaborated with Casio before to create models like the DW5600BAIT20.
The latest limited edition wearable from the partnership is named “Innovation” and is said to celebrate the dawn of personal technology in the 80s. This is also tied to the launch date of the original DW5600, which was released in 1983. The Bait G-Shock DW5600 appears to have a white resin watch case, strap and octagonal bezel. The design seems to be partly inspired by Apple’s 80s branding, with a rainbow-striped flame icon and a similar font used for the model description on the band.
According to Bait, the watch dial has glow-in-the-dark elements surrounding the green negative mode LCD. Features include a stopwatch, countdown timer, an alarm and a backlight to help you read the screen in the dark. Plus, the watch is said to be shock-resistant and water-resistant up to 200 m (~656 ft). The Bait x Casio G-Shock DW5600 watch will be launched at ComplexCon (CactusCon) Las Vegas, running from November 16th to 17th. The wearable will then retail at Bait’s online and physical stores in the US for $150. Older DW5600 watches, like the DW5600E-1V, are currently available at Amazon for $48.48.
