The Casio G-SHOCK DW5600SHB-1, inspired by the Kuro-Shiba, is now available in the US for $130. It features a dual-tone band, Shiba Inu-themed design, 200m water resistance, stopwatch, and 5-year battery life.

The G-SHOCK DW5600SHB-1, part of Casio's Shiba Inu series, has officially hit the US market. Originally launched in Japan in September alongside the GA-100SHB-5A and the DW-6900SHB-7, the watch draws design inspiration from the Kuro-Shiba, a black-coated Shiba Inu. The model features a dual-tone black resin band with an off-white underside, which mimics the dog's natural countershading.

The Casio DW5600SHB-1 includes a full-body silhouette of the Shiba Inu, with its face appearing on the dial when the backlight is activated. Key functionalities include a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, and multi-alarm settings, all backed by G-SHOCK’s trademark shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance. The watch also boasts a long battery life, running up to five years on a CR2016 cell.

This release follows the Japanese company's broader trend of incorporating cultural and thematic elements into their timepieces. Besides its robust feature set, the DW5600SHB-1 has a pretty light, durable profile, weighing only 55 grams with a bio-based resin construction. Priced at $130, the DW5600SHB-1 is now available through Casio’s official website and select retailers.
