Casio G-Shock Shiba Inu watches could be on the way to the US
The Casio G-Shock Shiba Inu watches are rumored to be on the way to the US. The range launched in Japan in September as part of a wider celebration of the nation’s culture; Casio has also recently launched Manga, Ninja and Nishikigoi Koi Series wearables.
The Shiba Inu line-up includes three watches: the GA-100SHB-5A, the DW-5600SHB-1 and the DW-6900SHB-7. The GA-100SHB-5A is based on the sesame Aka-Shiba, with a brown and off-white color scheme, and a miniature dog on the inset dial. The watch supports 29 time zones, has an LED backlight, and features a 1/1000-second stopwatch and five daily alarms.
The DW-5600SHB-1 was inspired by the black Kuro-Shiba, with an off-white underside, and the DW-6900SHB-7 is a white watch based on the Shiro-Shiba. Both watches feature a small Shiba Inu silhouette on the dial, and a dog’s face is visible when you activate the backlight. Tools include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and flash alerts. Plus, the DW-6900SHB-7 has a Triple Graph alongside the LCD screen.
According to a report by G-Central, an unnamed source has indicated that these three watches will launch in the US in November. The Casio G-Shock DW-5600SHB-1 and the Casio G-Shock DW-6900SHB-7 are said to be priced at around $130, while the Casio G-Shock GA100SHB-5A is expected to retail for approximately $140. All three models are listed on the brand’s global website, another indication that they will roll out to more countries worldwide.
