Anker has unveiled the Solix Solarbank 2 E1600 AC for the German and Austrian markets. The model follows the Solarbank 2 Pro and the Solarbank 2 Plus, launched earlier this year. While all three products have similar features, the latest device adds AC coupling.
The Solarbank 2 E1600 AC is marketed as a plug-and-play solution designed to integrate with your existing balcony power plant. The device offers 1.6 kWh LFP storage, which is expandable up to 9.6 kWh, with support for an 800W mains AC connection and a 1,200W off-grid AC output. According to Anker, the solution is compatible with all microinverters and could save users up to €902 annually. As well as support for an 800W AC input and a 1,200W DC input, the built-in microinverter and two MPPT solar controllers allow for an up to 2,000W solar input. The device is suitable for outdoor use, operating at temperatures between -20 to 55°C (~-4 to 131°F).
The Anker Solix Solarbank 2 AC will launch in Germany and Austria this December for €1,099. Plus, customers who order the device before December 2nd will get a €300 discount, reducing the price to €799. This deal is available directly from Anker or the company’s Amazon storefront. It is unclear whether or when the product will arrive in other countries.
