New Casio 50th anniversary Casiotron TRN-50ZE-1A watch arrives in Europe

The Casio Casiotron TRN-50ZE-1A watch has arrived in Europe following its launch in other markets like the US and the UK in early October. The model is part of a new collection of wearables celebrating Casio’s 50th anniversary; the range also includes the G-Shock GMC-B2100ZE-1A.

The Casiotron TRN-50ZE-1A is a stainless steel watch with a black finish and gold details such as the dial ring, the Casio logo and a single link on the metal bracelet. Like many watches from the brand, the Casiotron has the LED Super Illuminator backlight so you can read the watch in the dark. The radio-controlled watch has Multi-Band 6 and Bluetooth connectivity for automatically adjusted time. You can connect the watch to your smartphone for additional tools in the Casio Watches app, including reminders and a phone finder.

Other features include 39 time zones, a countdown timer, five daily alarms and a 1/100-second stopwatch. Plus, solar charging allows the watch to run for more than 11 months or 22 months in power-saving mode. The limited edition Casio Casiotron TRN-50ZE-1A watch is now available in Europe for €599; this makes it €100 more expensive than the basic Casiotron TRN-50-2A.
