Casio G-Shock DW-5000R-1AJF watch manual leak confirms specifications

The manual for the upcoming Casio G-Shock DW-5000R-1AJF has been discovered. This model is part of a wider celebration of the first G-Shock, the DW-5000C, launched in 1983. Other recently released watches in the series include the Casio DW5600RW-1 Rainbow Brick wall watch.

Rumors about the G-Shock DW-5000R-1AJF began earlier this year when images were leaked on Instagram by user geesgshock. Now, the Japanese website Great G-Shock World has found the manual for the G-Shock DW-5000R-1AJF on Casio’s website in this country. The document confirms that the watch uses the brand’s latest LED backlight technology, known as Super Illuminator, which helps you read the screen in the dark. It also establishes the models’ features, which include alarm, time and stopwatch functions, and a fully automatic calendar up to 2099.

On top of this, it states that the watch can run for up to five years on a CR2016 battery, improving upon the three-year battery life of similar older models. The Casio G-Shock DW-5000R-1AJF is expected to be released in Japan in December 2024, with a price of ¥33,000 (~$214). It is unclear whether or when it could arrive in other markets like North America or Europe.
