Custom Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000 models sport sleek camo-inspired ceramic finishes

Casio’s GMW-B5000 series has been an iconic player in the watch market, with its full-metal build, solid construction, and a retro square design that is inspired by the original 1983 G-Shock. These watches are known for their extensive functionality, since they have almost all key G-Shock features - from shock resistance and solar charging to Bluetooth connectivity and world time adjustment via Multi-Band 6.

However, B5K Customs, which is based in Great Britain, has upgraded this classic model with their custom Woodland Camo editions. Featuring Cerakote coatings (ceramic-based finish that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood) in shades like Olive Drab Green, Armour Black, and Flat Dark Earth, these editions refresh the GMW-B5000 with a whole new tactical-like aesthetic. Each watch has a unique multi-tone bracelet that blends seamlessly with the case's color palette.

These custom models maintain the original GMW-B5000’s core functionalities, while the Cerakote finish transforms the watch into what looks like a statement piece for outdoor enthusiasts and collectors alike. B5K’s darker “v2.0” variant adds a black bezel with matching olive drab buttons, giving the watch a somewhat stealthy appearance.

B5K Customs' designs are a good example of how timeless designs can evolve while still staying true to their core identity. While plenty of custom designs stray away from the originality of the design, the Woodland Camo v2.0 and v1.0 editions hit a sweet spot between innovation and tradition.
