Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Spare parts now available at iFixit, but display costs as much as an Apple iPhone 16 Pro
Google has been selling original spare parts for the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL for a few weeks now, and spare parts for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold are now also available directly from iFixit's online store.
A new USB-C port can be ordered for $59.99, the rear cover can be replaced for $129.99, a rear triple camera costs $249.99, and a front camera is available for $79.99. The two batteries are sold separately, so replacement of both batteries is relatively expensive at around $135. A new outer screen can be purchased for $189.99.

As usual with iFixit, all spare parts are also offered as part of a "Fix Kit", which contains all the necessary tools for an extra charge of around $7. iFixit also offers step-by-step instructions on how carry out the repair, including an estimation of how difficult and how time-consuming the prospective repair is to carry out.
Unsurprisingly, replacing the foldable main display is the most difficult, as according to iFixit, customers should expect to replace the screen in three to four hours, as the smartphone has to be largely dismantled in order to remove the OLED panel. At a price of $1,199.99, the replacement part costs the same as a new Apple iPhone 16 Pro. Before buying such an expensive replacement part, it is strongly recommended that you read the accompanying repair guide to see whether you are confident in carrying out such a complex repair process.
