Google has introduced its latest foldable smartphone as a member of the Pixel 9 series (unlike its predecessor). It is touted as one of the thinnest and lightest devices of its class to debut in 2024, and also as the only one with 'native' Gemini AI assistant support.
Now, it is available at its lowest price since Black Friday of this year. Accordingly, those who have been holding out to get the Pixel 9 Pro experience in Fold form until after the holidays can pick one up in its Obsidian or Porcelain colorways with 256GB of internal storage for as little as $1,499 today (December 28, 2024).
The offer is in effect on Amazon, although there is a chance to also buy a Pixel Watch 3 for up to 50% off when availing of the same deal on google.com.
There are alternatives available on the former, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 with similar specs except for the more universal Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor instead of Google's own Tensor G4 starting at $1,459.99 today, or the last-gen yet still competitive OnePlus Open at an even cheaper price of $1,299.99 (which may or may not support rumors of the existence of an impending Open 2).
