Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active headed for global launch this month as pricing and specs also confirmed for new fitness tracker
Xiaomi ended last month by revealing the Smart Band 9 Pro and Watch S4 in China. However, it seems that the company may soon present the Smart Band 9 Active globally too. Although it has not confirmed anything just yet, there are increasing signs that this could be the case.
On the one hand, Xiaomi has recently certified a wearable bearing the model number 'M2435B1' for sale with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). While this only covers Eurasian Economic Union member states, an EEC certification is often an indication of a device's forthcoming global release.
As is often the case, the EEC's documentation does not reveal much by itself. On the other hand, searching the model number shown reveals an Amazon France listing, evidence of which we have embedded below. Not only does the listing appear to confirm that the Smart Band 9 Active will arrive in Europe on November 18, but also that it will retail for €29.99.
In other words, the Smart Band 9 Active will serve as a cheaper alternative to the Smart Band 9 (curr. $52.99 on Amazon). Nonetheless, it will offer features like a 1.47-inch AMOLED display that outputs at up to 450 nits, plus 5 ATM water resistance and up to 14 days of battery life from a circa 300 mAh battery. Please see the images below for more hardware details.
