Xiaomi is all set to launch its new entry-level Redmi A4 5G smartphone on November 20 in the Indian market. The launch news has been officially confirmed by the brand. There’s also a dedicated landing page for the Redmi A4 5G on the company’s official website, revealing key features of the A4 5G smartphone.
The Redmi A4 5G will come as a successor to the Redmi A3 and Redmi A3x (currently $85 on Amazon), which was launched earlier this year. Xiaomi has decided to go with the 5G chipset for the A4 smartphone. It will launch with the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset based on 4nm architecture paired with eight CPU cores and Adreno 619L GPU. To recall, this is Qualcomm’s latest processor for budget-range smartphones which was launched three months ago.
Furthermore, the smartphone will feature a 6.8-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. However, other display specs such as resolution and peak brightness remain unknown for now. Speaking about the camera, it is confirmed to sport a 50MP dual rear camera setup and a waterdrop-notch selfie camera on the front.
The official listing also revealed the battery capacity. The smartphone will utilize a 5,160mAh battery, a step up from 5,000mAh on the A3. However, there is no word on the fast charging details.
Compared to the predecessor A3 (INR 7000/ $94), the A4 5G will have a higher price tag. According to the reports, Xiaomi will sell the device for between Rs 9,000-10,000 (roughly $107 - $119) in India. As far as colors are concerned, it will come with at least two color options.
