Garmin is rolling out beta version 6.01 to one of its 2024 smartwatches. The release is said to bring improvements to the wearable’s Connected GPS feature, as well as a range of bug fixes. At the time of writing, customers have not reported any issues with this particular update.

The Garmin Lily 2 smartwatch is receiving its second beta update, version 6.01. The original model launched at the start of the year, with features like health metric tracking, various fitness modes and contactless payment. Then, in October, the company launched an Active version.

The change log for beta version 6.01 indicates that the connected GPS feature has been improved, though it does not provide further information. There are bug fixes linked to the HIIT and Dance activities, and a range of UI problems have been resolved. Plus, Garmin has made changes with Move Alert 2.0 relating to indoor walks. On top of this, the company says it has made general stability improvements to the wearable. Alongside the firmware is an update for the sensor hub, version 32.22.

Garmin asks that users flag any issues they encounter in the relevant section of the forum. At the time of writing, no problems have been reported. Beta version 6.01 for the Lily 2 smartwatch will be automatically delivered to eligible units via Garmin Connect. The wearables will check for the update daily. The Garmin Lily 2 smartwatch is currently available at Amazon for $249.99.
