The Casio digital ring watch, the CRW-001-1ER, is now listed on the brand's websites in the UK and Singapore. The wearable leaked in September but was officially unveiled earlier in November when a Japanese launch date was confirmed. This product is part of the brand's wider 50th anniversary celebrations, and it is the first device of its kind from the company.
The design of the CRW-001-1ER is somewhat similar to that of the GMW-B5000D-1 watch (curr. $432.99 at Amazon). The ring watch has an LCD display protected by toughened mineral glass and a splash-resistant stainless steel casing with an adjustable band. Features include 12- and 24-hour time formats, a daily alarm, an automatic calendar and an LED backlight. According to Casio, the ring's battery is expected to last for around two years.
In the UK, the Casio CRW-001-1ER digital ring watch is priced at £105 (~$132); the RRP has not been provided on the equivalent product listing in Singapore. Both pages state that the wearable is "Coming Soon", though the launch date has yet to be specified. As a guide, the device is expected to launch in Japan in December, with an RRP of ¥19,800 (~$128).
