Garmin wearable gets new heart rate chart in latest stable update
Garmin is rolling out stable system software version 26.30 to the Descent Mk2, Descent Mk2S and Descent Mk2i watch-style dive computers. The company announced the release on its forum, confirming that it has pushed the update to at least 50% of users.
Version 26.30 brings a new heart rate chart to the post-dive summary page. However, it is worth noting that this replaces the time-in-zones bar chart. The End Dive Delay is now set by default to five minutes, though users must reset settings to see this change. Plus, Garmin has resolved an issue with PO2 alerts in the Plan Dive app. On top of this, there are four changes which are only for the Mk2i wearable. These include the ability to receive extra SubWave messages when using a Descent T2 transceiver and improved stability when multiple SubWave messages come through simultaneously. You can view the full change log below.
Users can install this update via Garmin Express of the Garmin Connect app. It is unclear when system software version 26.30 will reach all units of the Descent Mk2, Descent Mk2S and Descent Mk2i. Plus, the Garmin Descent Mk2 diver computer is currently available at Amazon for $1,059.99.
