Valve has started selling the Steam Deck officially in Australia. It can be pre-ordered soon and will begin shipping on November 19. Both the LCD and OLED variants are up for grabs.

Gamers in Australia will be pleased to know that Valve is officially selling the console in the region starting on November 19. At the time of writing, pre-orders don't appear to be up, but that should change shortly. They will begin shipping on November 19, 10 AM AEDT.

Interestingly, Valve is selling both the LCD and OLED variants of the Steam Deck. The former is only available with 256 GB of storage for A$649 (US$428). The 512 GB Steam Deck OLED will cost you A$899 (US$593) and the 1 TB version will set you back by $1,049 (US$691).

As confirmed earlier, Valve has essentially discontinued the Steam Deck LCD variant, meaning it will eventually go out of stock. That isn't necessarily bad because the OLED version brings forth too many quality-of-life upgrades to pass on, such as a larger battery, Wi-Fi 6E and a die-shrunk 6 nm SoC.

Plus, a Steam Deck successor isn't due anytime soon, although the handheld market offers far more options now with mainstream players like Asus, MSI, Acer and Lenovo entering the fray. Or, you could pick from a host of Chinese players like Ayaneo, AYN, OneXPlayer and Aokzoe.
