Asus's ProArt lineup is tailored towards demanding creative professionals on the move. The ProArt Studiobook based on Intel 13th gen will remain relevant this year as well. However, Asus is testing new waters this year with the introduction of ProArt in convertible and detachable form factors, with all of them being branded as Copilot+ PCs.
The first of these is the ProArt P16 H7606, a creator-focused laptop powered by the new AMD Ryzen AI 300 "Strix Point" Zen 5 APUs. Asus hasn't specified the exact APU options being offered, but a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility.
The new AMD Strix Point APUs announced today offer 50 TOPS peak NPU performance, making them perfectly amenable for Copilot+ functionality. Additionally, the ProArt P16 also comes with GPU options up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU for a combined 321 TOPS of AI goodness.
According to Asus, the ProArt P16's thermals allow for up to 70 W TDP for the CPU and up to 105 W for the GPU.
The ProArt P16 features a 16-inch 16:10 Asus Lumina OLED 4K touchscreen that is rated to cover 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and up to 500 nits brightness. The signature ProArt DialPad comes integrated into the touchpad. Compared to the previous Intel 13th gen variant (from US$2,000 on Amazon), the new ProArt 16 now offers a USB4 40 Gbps port and Wi-Fi 7 networking.
Asus is also bundling extra AI-assisted functionality via the Story Cube and Muse Tree apps. Story Cube is a digital asset management tool for cataloging and organization of media libraries while Muse Tree generates images from text prompts and allows users to further refine them. A dedicated Copilot key allows you to invoke Microsoft's AI chatbot at the touch of a button.
Pricing and availability information for the Asus ProArt P16 is yet to be revealed.
