A tentative Panasonic Lumix S9 leak suggests that the upcoming compact full-frame camera will be almost alarmingly cheap, while an accessory maker on Amazon has accidentally leaked marketing images depicting the Lumix S9 in almost all its glory.

The Panasonic Lumix S9 has shown up in leaks aplenty, with all but the intricacies of its specifications and design known. Now, a new claimed leak from prolific leaker Andrea Pizzini claims that the Lumix S9 will launch with an aggressively low MSRP of just $1,499.

While the $1,499 price is allegedly confirmed, there appears to be some confusion about whether this is with a kit lens or not. Pizzini's source tells him that it might be in a lens bundle with the 26 mm F/8.0 lens that popped up in rumours over the weekend, but the confidence of the kit costing $1,499 is low at best.

Delving into the realm of speculation, it's entirely possible that Panasonic will bundle the new 26 mm lens with the Lumix S9 for pre-orders or as a limited-time launch deal, simply because the reaction to news of the lens has been rather Marmite.

Either way, the Panasonic Lumix S9 looks to be aggressively priced, especially given the Sony-dominated creator market that it is apparently targetting. That price puts it in the same ballpark as Fujifilm's recently announced APS-C X-T50, which launched at $1,399.95 for the body only (or $1,499.95 with a 15–45 mm kit lens).

Alongside the pricing leaks, it appears that at least one accessory maker, Sirui, has preemptively launched a handgrip for the Lumix S9 on Amazon, giving us our most detailed look at the front, sides, and top of the upcoming full-frame camera yet.

The images confirm a handful of things. Firstly, the Lumix S9 will not have a built-in flash, but it seemingly will have a dedicated mic jack — likely of the 3.5 mm variety — hiding behind a door towards the top left of the camera. Also visible in the marketing images are the articulating screen, and a separate door for the SD card slot — and probably other ports — on the right side of the camera body.
