A new Decathlon Btwin midtail e-bike has appeared. This is a smaller cargo bike, not much larger than a typical electric bicycle, with space to transport some luggage or a child. It has a step-through frame and is somewhat similar in design to the earlier Magic Bike and Magic Bike 2 concepts.
The new Btwin midtail e-bike was recently spotted by Transition Velo in a Decathlon survey sent to some customers. Included in the survey were photos of this midtail model as well as a second longtail e-bike. Photos of the Btwin midtail show a small front luggage rack and a larger rear luggage rack. Also at the rear are two footrests, and there is a handle at the back of the seat, both designed for a passenger. Other accessories shown include fenders, a kickstand, a bell and a bike frame lock around the front wheel.
It is thought that this Decathlon midtail bike will be equipped with an Owuru continuously variable (CVT) motor. Plus, it appears to have a front suspension fork and 24-inch Schwalbe Pickup tires. Further details, such as the battery capacity, range, and price, have yet to be revealed. It is unclear whether this image will reflect the production model or if any features will change during development. It has been suggested that this new Decathlon Btwin midtail e-bike could launch in 2026, though the company has not officially confirmed this.
