Porsche has launched the fifth generation eBike Sport, also known as the eBike Sport 2025. Like its predecessor, it is developed with high-end bike brand Rotwild, with the design coming from Studio FA Porsche. This new model features various upgrades over the 2024 version, making it suitable for both city and light trail rides.
The new Porsche eBike Sport has the same “ultra-light” carbon frame as the older models, available in three sizes, S, M and L, weighing 21.6 kg (~47.6 lbs) on average. The 12-speed e-bike is equipped with the Shimano EP801 motor with up to 85 Nm torque and a Shimano XT Di2 derailleur. The smallest model has a 504 Wh battery, while the two other sizes are fitted with a 630 Wh power pack. While the company does not provide a range estimate, as a guide, the eBike Sport 2023 has the same batteries and offers up to 175 km (~109 miles) range in Eco mode and 84 km (~52 miles) in Trail mode.
A new addition for the 2025 model is the Fox Float 34 Performance Elite front suspension fork with 120 mm travel, joining the Fox Float DPS shock (100 mm) at the rear. Another change is found with the carbon handlebar-stem unit, designed to deliver precise control. Other features include 5-spoke Xentis Mount-X carbon wheels, Magura MT7 disc brakes and Schwalbe Racing Ralph tires, 27.5-inch for the S and 29-inch for the M and L versions. Plus, the Shimano SC-EM800 display shows information like your speed and the remaining battery level, with further information and controls available via the Shimano E-Tube Ride app for iOS and Android.
On top of this, there is upgraded lighting, with an up to 1,000 lumen Supernova Starstream X Pro headlight and a Topeak BeSeen light at the rear. You can now buy the beige Porsche eBike Sport for $10,920/€9,900 from the Porsche Design online store and various Porsche Centers. It is worth noting that only the M and L are currently available in the US, but all three sizes can be purchased in Europe.
