Full suspension, carbon frame and mid-drive motor: New e-MTB is still relatively affordable

The Gram 2.6 is a new electric mountain bike from Italian manufacturer Thok, explicitly designed for off-road performance. As a full-suspension e-bike, it features a rear shock and a suspension fork. Up front, it utilizes a RockShox Domain Gold R suspension fork with 170 millimeters of travel, paired with a RockShox Deluxe Select 230x65 mm rear shock. Its carbon frame helps minimize total weight, though Thok has not specified the exact figure.
Rather than opting for Bosch, Thok equips the bike with a Shimano mid-drive motor. The Shimano EP8 motor delivers 85 Nm of torque and draws power from a generous 820 Wh battery. This high capacity ensures extended range, particularly during repetitive, steep climbs. System metrics are displayed via a 1.6-inch color screen. Mechanical shifting is provided by a 12-speed SRAM Eagle derailleur system. The mullet configuration pairs a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel, a setup designed to improve obstacle rollover capabilities.
Stopping power is delivered by Magura hydraulic disc brakes. The Louise Elite four-piston calipers grip 203-millimeter rotors at both the front and rear. The Thok Gram 2.6 is priced at €3,290. Thok focuses its business operations primarily on Europe.
