The "world-first's" e-bike with 5G has been unveiled at MWC 2024. Its ability to support "high-speed" mobile data will enable it to connect "seamlessly" to other Orbis bikes for advanced features such as real-time navigation, live-streaming and even video chats on a 7-inch display. The OEM plans to release it to the US market in partnership with Verizon.

The bike Orbic has brought to MWC 2024 looks like a fairly standard chunky fat-tire electric model - however, the OEM asserts that it is in fact the future of e-mobility, being the first of its kind to support 5G.

Accordingly, the Orbic eBike seems to be the closest thing to a smartphone transmuted into an e-bike yet. It even has front and rear cameras, of 64MP and 2MP in resolution respectively, that help deliver its "AI" anti-collision features.

Furthermore, its 7-inch "bright all weather touchscreen" even has its own 8MP camera for "a seamless and responsive" UX that includes the ability to share their rides - or even video-chat - with other Orbic eBike users.

The UI in question (based on Android, moreover) is also touted to support features such as "real-time mapping" as well as convenient access to information such as the bike's speed, distance travelled and battery status. It is also rated to turn the Orbic eBike into a 5G hotspot on wheels, if necessary.

All in all, Orbic asserts that its new eBike can deliver a whole "digital world" in a 2-wheeler, whether on city streets or on mountain trails. The company plans to bring its 28 mile per hour (mph) top speed and "fast-charging" battery.
