The Hauler looks a lot like its Hero sibling from the front, although it has a longer rack to the rear, and is rated for a total payload of 440lb (~200 kilograms).
The new bike has a 864Wh (or 48V/18Ah) integrated battery rated to propel the bike at up to 28mph for up to 55 miles (~89km) per charge - however, it can also be ordered with a second battery that slots in behind the saddle to boost its max range to 85 miles.
The Hauler's brakes and front suspension are hydraulic for some added comfort, and 20x3 tires for increased stability. Its rack has a custom side board to which small accessories such as water bottles can be affixed, located above fold-down footboards that comprise the extent of its support for the transport goods (and people) out of the box.
Accordingly, the Hauler is more of a rival for the Engwe LE20 rather than something like the Decathlon Btwin F900E that might replace a car for the school run with its front-loading passenger box.
The Hauler has been released at $1,499 to $1,899 for its single- and dual-battery variants respectively - however, the former is now available at $1,199 right now, while the latter is $1,399, whereas the up-to-1,300W LE20 currently starts with 1 battery at $1,499 on Amazon.
Heybike also offers the Large Rear Basket designed for the Hauler's rack as a free gift at the moment.
