Nimble, motorized, and capable of hauling gear: Cube’s latest lightweight e-bike balances everyday utility with sportiness—provided you don't expect maximum riding comfort.

Gravel bikes are essentially road bikes unconfined by pavement. While classic road bikes struggle on forest trails and gravel due to narrow, slick tires, gravel bikes feature increased frame clearance for significantly wider, knobby tires. This makes them far more practical for daily use while offering a noticeably more dynamic ride than a traditional trekking bike, thanks to their sportier geometry. E-gravel bikes build on this exact concept.

With the Nuroad Hybrid C:62 Race 400X FE 2027, Cube has launched a fully equipped e-bike priced at €4,199. The model comes pre-fitted with mudguards, a minimalist luggage rack, a kickstand, and integrated lighting. At 15.4 kilograms (34 lbs), the bike remains light for its class. This low weight stems from its carbon frame and the Bosch Performance SX mid-drive motor. While the 400 Wh battery capacity sits slightly below average for general e-bikes, it remains competitive within the e-road and e-gravel segments. Shifting is handled by a 12-speed Shimano derailleur system, with stopping power provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes featuring 180 mm rotors front and rear. Rather than a full-size display, Cube equips the bike with the top-tube-integrated Bosch System Control LED indicator and a handlebar-mounted Mini Remote.
