New e-bike delivers 150 Nm and 800 Wh as DJI Avinox mid-drive motor outshines Bosch

We have previously covered high-end manufacturer Steppenwolf, known for its premium e-bikes. The company has now expanded its lineup with the Tycoon 11, a full-suspension model designed for off-road riders who refuse to compromise. At its core is the DJI Avinox M2S mid-drive motor, which churns out up to 150 Nm of torque in Boost mode—delivering exceptional power that excels on steep trails and technical climbs. To ensure ample range during extended sessions, Steppenwolf pairs the motor with a high-capacity 800 Wh battery.
The Tycoon 11 utilizes a carbon-fiber frame to save weight compared to conventional aluminum builds. Weighing in at just under 22 kilograms (48.5 lbs), it is impressively lightweight for a full-suspension e-bike equipped with a high-output motor and a large battery. With 170 mm of suspension travel, the setup should provide ample cushioning and traction over rugged terrain.
Rounding out the spec sheet are Maxxis Minion DHX and Minion DHR II tires, Fox suspension components (fork, rear shock, and dropper post), and the compact Avinox DP100 display. As expected for a flagship build, the Steppenwolf Tycoon 11 commands a premium price tag, retailing at €9,999.
