Trek launches new full-suspension e-bike with impressive 180 km of range

Last month, Trek introduced the Dutch-style District+ electric bike. Now, the American e-bike manufacturer has launched the 2027 Allant+ FS, a full-suspension SUV-style e-bike in Europe. The company's new e-bike comes as a direct competitor to Specialized's Turbo Vado 3X, which comes with power-packed features. Speaking of the 2027 Allant+ FS, Trek offers two builds, namely the R11 Auto and the R10. The former gets autoshifting, while the latter lacks it. 

Trek has incorporated Bosch’s Performance Line CX mid-drive motor into the 2027 Allant+ FS, which is said to offer a 250 W nominal rating and 750 W of peak power. As for speed, the motor provides a top speed of 25 km/h (15.3 mph). A larger Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery powers the e-bike, and Trek claims the e-bike offers 180 km (112 miles) of range on a single charge. 

Trek allows riders to choose either the Shimano 11-speed Cues drivetrain with autoshifting (R11 model) or the Shimano 10-speed Cues with manual shifting (R10 model). The former comes with a Fox 36 AWL fork with 140 mm of travel, while the latter boasts a SunTOur XCR 36 fork with 140 mm of travel.

The SUV-style e-bike features a high-performance hydroformed alloy frame, which is capable of handling a payload of up to 300 lbs (136 kg). Furthermore, accessories include fenders, integrated lighting with up to 500 lumens on the high beam, a kickstand, inner frame mounts for bags or locks, headtube mounts, and a MIK-compatible alloy rear rack that carries up to 27 kg (59.53 lbs). 

Available in S, M, L, and XL sizes, the Trek 2027 Allant+ FS R11 and the R10 models are priced €5,999 and €4,999, respectively. It comes in a single olive-brown metallic color option. Buyers can purchase the e-bike directly from Trek’s official website.
