The Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 800 Wave 2027 is a new electric bicycle
Cube is expanding its lineup with a new, versatile trekking e-bike equipped with a high-torque Bosch mid-drive motor, a high-capacity battery, and a comprehensive set of features. The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 800 Wave 2027 is already available.
The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 800 Wave 2027 is a newly released trekking e-bike already listed by various retailers. Priced at just under €3,600, it sits in the upper-tier segment for e-bikes. Powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX mid-drive motor delivering up to 120 Nm of torque, the bike draws energy from an 800 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, ensuring solid range even under heavy motor assistance. System data and riding metrics are displayed via a large Bosch Kiox 500 unit.
Weighing in at 30.4 kilograms (67 lbs), the e-bike features a RockShox Recon Silver RL Air suspension fork offering 100 millimeters of travel—a generous amount for a trekking model. Typical for this category, Cube opts for a suspended seatpost rather than a rear shock. Designed for both daily commutes and long tours, the bike complies with road safety regulations thanks to built-in front and rear lighting.
Drivetrain duties are handled by a 12-speed Shimano XT system, supplemented by a short chain guard to keep pant legs clean. Stopping power comes from four-piston Shimano BR-MT420 hydraulic disc brakes clamping onto 180-millimeter rotors front and rear. Rounding out the full feature set are pre-installed mudguards, a kickstand, an integrated frame lock, and a rear luggage rack.
