The Casio Vintage A130WE watches have been released in the UK. This 1980s-inspired model is described as “retro-futuristic”. It launched for pre-order at a third-party retailer in France in January and went on sale in Japan the following month.
You can now buy the Casio A130WE-1AEF and A130WE-9AEF watches at the Casio UK online store for £59.90 and £79.90, respectively. These models have large rectangular faces, measuring 40.5 mm x 33.9 mm, and are splash-resistant. They can display time in 12 or 24-hour formats and support up to four simultaneous world time zones. These are displayed across multiple digital displays, with one mimicking an analogue clock (top left).
Other features include a 1/100-second stopwatch, five daily alarms and a countdown timer with a 24-hour range. Plus, these watches have an LED backlight and run for up to three years on a CR1616 battery. The A130WE-1A has a stainless steel strap and chrome-plated resin casing set around a black watch face with white, blue and yellow accents. By comparison, the A130WE-9 is all gold with black and burgundy markings, featuring a resin case and bezel alongside a stainless steel band.
The Casio A130WE-1AEF and A130WE-9AEF watches remain unreleased in other European countries like France and the Netherlands for the time being. It is also unclear when the A130WEG-7A (all silver) and A130WEGG-1A (dark gray/black) watches will launch in this region.
