New Casio A130WE watches are listed as “Coming Soon” on the brand’s websites in various European countries. These models were spotted at French retailer David et Philly in January and launched in Japan in February.
The A130WE can be found at the Casio online stores in markets including the UK, the Netherlands and France. The Casio A130WE-1A will retail for £59.90/€64.90, while the A130WEG-9A is more expensive at £79.90/€84.90. The A130WEG-7A and A130WEGG-1A are not currently listed in the UK but are priced at €64.90 and €84.90, respectively, in the other countries.
These retro watches have a 1980s-inspired design with an LCD display. The time is displayed in the top right via an analogue-style clock and again in the bottommost segment. The dial in the top right is used for tracking with features like the 1/100-second stopwatch, and the day and date are displayed centre-right. Users can monitor the time in four zones, with 48 cities on offer. Other features include a countdown timer for up to 24 hours, five daily alarms and an LED backlight.
All four models have a chrome-plated resin casing and a stainless steel bracelet. The A130WE-1A and A130WE-7A are silver, with the 1A featuring a black watch face, whereas the 7A is a silver. The A130WEG-9A is gold, with a gold ion-plated bracelet and a gold watch face. Finally, the A130WEGG-1A is dark gray/black, with a black ion-plated strap and a black frame for the display and dials. It remains to be seen when these watches will officially launch in Europe or in other countries like the US.
