Casio has officially confirmed the launch date for its upcoming G-Shock GM-110D series, featuring full-metal stainless-steel builds. The GM-110D-8AJF and GM-110BD-1A9JF, which were leaked very recently, will be released on March 14 in Japan. Preorders are already live via online e-commerce channels, such as Yahoo! Japan (1) (2) and Rakuten (1) (2).
The GM-110D-8AJF, sporting a silver-tone stainless-steel finish, is priced at ¥60,500 (~$399), while the GM-110BD-1A9JF, with its black ion-plated case and gold dial, will cost ¥69,300 (~$457). Both models retain the analog-digital hybrid display characteristic of the GM-110 lineup and come with a fold-over clasp bracelet with push-button release.
As per comments on social media, it's obvious that the black and gold variant is drawing more attention than its counterpart. Hence, we can expect it to be more popular among collectors and fashion enthusiasts. Given the brand’s history, these models are expected to launch in Japan first, with a global rollout likely to follow.
The confirmed specifications for the GM-110D series include a shock-resistant stainless-steel case and bezel, 200-meter water resistance, mineral glass crystal, and a quartz movement. Additional features include world time (31 time zones, 48 cities), a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, a full auto-LED backlight, and a 12/24-hour time format. The watches run on a CR1220 battery with an estimated three-year lifespan.
With the official announcement now in place, it shouldn't be too long before the GM-110D series makes its way to international markets.
