New Casio G-Shock GW-5000HS monochrome watches with Tough Solar and Multi-band 6 are now live
Casio has just released its highly anticipated G-Shock GW-5000HS-7ER and GW-5000HS-1ER watches in the UK, giving fans of the iconic square G-Shock design two fresh monochrome options. The new models stay true to the DNA of the original 1983 DW-5000C but bring modern upgrades like Tough Solar charging and Multi-Band 6 radio timekeeping, which makes these some of the most refined versions of the classic square yet.
The standout feature here is, undoubtedly, the sleek, all-monochrome design. The GW-5000HS-7ER sports a clean white resin case and band, while the GW-5000HS-1ER goes for a full stealth black look. Despite the new colorways, both watches still come with the rugged build G-Shock is known for - a DLC-coated stainless-steel screw-back case for better scratch resistance and longevity. Casio has also used bio-based resin for the case and band.
Casio is not compromising on functionality either, with 200m water resistance, world time, five daily alarms, a stopwatch, and a dual-illuminator display for better visibility in the dark. The Tough Solar battery means no need for frequent replacements, and Multi-Band 6 means accurate timekeeping through automatic radio signal updates.
At £279 (~$353) each, these models are priced at the higher end of G-Shock’s resin-based lineup, but for fans of the original square, they are more than just standard watches. Instead, they're more of a mix of nostalgia and premium materials in a classic package. Both watches are available now on the official G-Shock UK website.
