Casio has released the Pro Trek x White Mountaineering PRJ-B001WM-1 watch in various European countries. This rugged model, a collaboration between the Japanese watch brand and streetwear label, launched in Japan in December and was subsequently released in the US, where it us known as the PRJB001WM-1.
The PRJ-B001WM is all black, with a resin casing and a flame-retardant fabric strap. The hybrid watch is also water resistant to 10 bar and can operate in temperatures as low as -10°C (~14°F). Tough Solar technology extends the typical seven months of battery life, and there is also a power-saving mode.
The watch supports 38 world time zones, with a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 60-minute countdown timer, and five daily alarms. The calendar is fully automatic to the year 2099, and the watch will remain accurate to within 15 seconds each month. Plus, Bluetooth connectivity provides access to further tools, like Time & Place and Phone Finder, via the Casio Watches app. A hand shift function ensures that the smaller digital display can always be read, and a white LED backlight helps you to read the watch face in low lighting.
You can now buy the Casio Pro Trek x White Mountaineering PRJ-B001WM-1 watch in countries like the Netherlands, France and Spain for €199. It is unclear whether or when this product could officially launch in the UK.
