New Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GG-B100X leak reveals step-counter and possible forged carbon bezel

Post the launch of Casio's Master of G series (which features three new watches), a new leak on the horizon now suggests Casio is working on an upgraded Mudmaster, the GG-B100X. The "X" suffix has previously been an indicator of premium variants, and this one appears to feature a forged carbon bezel, as per the leaker @geesgshock (on Instagram). This material is well-known for being both strong and lightweight, which would essentially make it a pretty notable upgrade over the standard GG-B100.
While official details are scarce, it’s likely that the watch will retain the quad sensor setup seen in the previous model, including a compass, altimeter/barometer, thermometer, and step counter. If Casio follows the trend set by the GWG-2000, we might also see solar charging introduced to this series for the first time.
Some Mudmaster users (on Instagram) have raised concerns about screen reflectivity, so an improved LCD with better contrast or an anti-reflective coating could also be a possibility. The GG-B100 series sits between the more affordable GG-1000 and the high-end GWG-2000, and this update could push it closer to the premium end of the lineup.
While this remains a leak, the possible use of forged carbon suggests that Casio is refining its material and design statement. More details should surface in the coming months if an official announcement is on the way.
