The Casio G-Shock Baby-G BGA-280TD-7AJF and BGA-280TD-2AJF watches have been released in Japan. These are round hybrid wearables with a shimmering tie-dye finish on the watch face. The BGA-280TD-7AJF has a white resin casing with an iridescent pink dial, while the BGA-280TD-2AJF has a blue resin casing and strap, and an iridescent blue/green face.
Feature-wise, these two BGA-280 Series watches are identical. They are shock-resistant and water-resistant to 10 ATMs, with an estimated battery life of three years. Users are offered 29 world time zones to choose from, and time can be displayed in 12 or 24-hour formats on the digital screen. According to Casio, the time will remain accurate to within 30 seconds each month, and the calendar is fully automatic.
Tools include a 60-minute stopwatch, accurate to one second and with a split function, and a 60-minute countdown timer with auto repeat and time-up warnings. Plus, these watches offer up to five daily alarms, one of which you can snooze. On top of this, there is a white LED backlight to help you read the watch in low lighting.
You can now buy the Casio G-Shock Baby-G BGA-280TD-7AJF and BGA-280TD-2AJF watches in Japan for ¥14,300 (~$94). The company has yet to announce plans to launch these products in other markets, such as North America or Europe.
