Casio has confirmed that the new G-Shock x Barbie collaboration watch will launch in various markets worldwide. Known as the GMA-S110BE-4A, the GMA-S110BE-4AER or the GMAS110BE-4A, the model is already available to pre-order in Japan for ¥24,750 (~$162), with its release here scheduled for later this month.
The GMA-S110BE-4A is expected to launch in countries including the US, the UK and France this March, priced at $170/£149/€169. As you might expect, this is a pink resin watch, with various shades used across the face, bezel and strap, alongside Neobrite elements. Plus, the Barbie logo and icon can be found on the watch strap and rear casing.
Features of this Barbie G-Shock watch leaked at the end of January, matching other GMA-S110 series wearables. This hybrid analog-digital model offers 29 world time zones, with the time shown in your choice of 12 or 24-hour formats. An amber LED backlight with afterglow helps you to read the dial in low lighting. Plus, there are tools like a 1/1000-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer and five daily alarms. It is also water resistant to 200 m and will run for around two years on a CR1220 battery.
The exact launch date of the Casio G-Shock Barbie Collaboration watch has yet to be announced. The company is inviting users to sign up for email notifications on the product’s launch. However, it is worth bearing in mind that these communications have not always been sent by the company historically.
