The Casio CRW001-1 Ring Watch could be restocked in the US. The wearable went on sale in the country on December 26th, as expected, appearing on the website at 10 AM. Upon launch, the ring sold out within a matter of minutes, with several customers reporting issues securing the product.
Now, Reddit user Temporary_Airline_58 has suggested that the CRW001-1 Ring Watch could be restocked in the US. A screenshot of a reply from the Casio America customer service team indicates that a second batch will be released in the future. However, the company representative claimed that the arrival date of this stock was still unknown.
The email correspondence also confirms that Casio did not send email notifications to customers at launch; it is unclear whether or not emails would go out when the next batch of rings is released. The Casio Ring Watch is a stainless steel wearable with a somewhat similar design to the GMW-B5000D-1 watch (curr. $470 at Amazon). Features include an LCD display which can show two time zones, a 1/100th second stopwatch and hourly flash signals. The Ring Watch is expected to reach more countries soon, launching in Singapore on January 8th and in Australia on January 13th.
