Casio’s MRG-B2100R-1 model has gained a fair amount of attention with previously revealed details about its design and features. Set to debut in early 2025, the model now has leaked images showcasing a dark blue dial paired with a sleek black titanium case. The color choice aligns with traditional Japanese aesthetics, referencing “aonibi”—a culturally important shade of blue.
The upcoming addition to the MR-G series is expected to feature hallmark traits of premium Casio watches, including a DLC-coated Cobarion bezel for durability and a Dura Soft band known for its resistance to wear and discoloration. This solid construction is complemented by classic G-Shock functionalities like Tough Solar charging and Multi-Band 6 technology. Bluetooth connectivity is expected to be present as well.
Leaked images have revealed a textured dial design and golden accents on the second hand. These highlights set the MRG-B2100R-1 apart from its predecessor, the MRG-B2100B-1AJR, which debuted earlier this year without the gold-accented detailing and unique color palette.
With a price estimate of approximately ¥600,000 ($4,000), this model should sit comfortably in the luxury segment. It goes without saying, but the watch will likely have Casio’s signature durability, with 200m water resistance and an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. Its weight of 104 grams should be pretty comfortable for the wrist.
The dark blue dial, inspired by Japanese culture, should make this Casio model a standout addition to the MR-G lineup. Stay tuned for further announcements before the official info is unveiled by the company.
