New Casio G-Shock BG-169 watches with Telememo coming soon

Casio is about to launch two G-Shock Baby-G BG-169 Cherry on Top watches in the UK. The pink BG-169CH-4ER and the yellow BG-169CH-9ER have both appeared on the G-Shock UK “Coming Soon” page.

There are several nods to cherries in these two BG-169 watches, such as the use of cherry-colored hues, and a red cherry motif is shown on the digital display when you use the LED backlight. They can both display the time in 12 or 24 hour formats, with the current date and weekday also shown on the screen. Other features include five daily alarms, an up to 24-hour countdown timer and a 1/100th-second stopwatch. Plus, Telememo lets you store up to 25 records of phone numbers with an associated contact name. The watches offer 200m water resistance and will run for around three years on their battery.

It is unclear exactly when the Casio G-Shock Baby-G BG-169CH-4ER and BG-169CH-9ER watches will launch in the UK, where they are expected to cost £69. These two models are already available to pre-order in Japan, where they are called the BG-169CH-4JF and the BG-169CH-9JF, for ¥12,650 (~$83). Whether or not they will launch in other European countries or reach North America has yet to be announced.
