Casio just brought 2 new digital pianos to the US. Part of the Celviano line, they aim to bring luxury at a relatively affordable price. The AP-300 is the larger and heavier of the two, tipping the scales at 47 kg (104 lbs). The AP-S200 is quite a bit lighter at 34 kg (75 lbs).

Casio America, Inc., announced today, through PR Newswire that it is expanding its digital piano line with two new entry-level models in its Celviano digital piano line.

The AP-300 and the AP-S200 are said to be the perfect entry-level pianos. Both are available in white, brown or black, however the AP-S200 offers a slimmer design without the lower panels. Both models boast 8 fully-weighted Smart Scaled Hammer Action keys with ivory-like white and ebony feel black keys for more comfortable long sessions.

The digital integration connects to the Casio Music Space app, available on both iOS and Android. The app allows for game-like lessons, the ability to view and annotate sheet music as well as work with audio files and more.

These new entry-level Celviano models reflect Casio's ongoing commitment to creating new musical experiences, cultures, and lifestyles for everyone - Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio's Electronic Musical Instruments Division

Stephen also remarks that, "The Celviano series embodies this philosophy by combining the timeless elegance of traditional grand pianos with modern technology to provide a fresh and innovative piano experience."

The RRPs are:

  • AP-300 (Black, Rosewood, White) $1,599.99
  • AP-S200 (Black, Rosewood, White) $999.99

Both the AP-S200 (Pitbull Audio, Kraft Music) and the AP-300 are already available to purchase.
