Casio has introduced two new models under its G-Shock and Baby-G lineups in a new collaboration with Chums (the outdoor lifestyle brand) and Li-Ning (the Chinese sportswear giant). The new DW-5600LICH25-5PFL and BA-110XLICH25-7PFL have a mix of rugged outdoor aesthetics and out-of-the-norm color palettes, but both are confirmed as China-exclusive releases.
This model retains the classic DW-5600 square case design but introduces a beige-tone resin case with a removable camouflage-patterned fabric strap. A specifically unique detail is the red climbing rope-style lanyard, which allows the watch to be worn around the neck or attached to a bag. The watch face is pretty minimalist as well, featuring a Chums logo in red and a clean LCD display.
The watch has a:
- Camo strap with a removable design.
- Engraved Chums branding on the case back.
- Soft military-style storage case.
- Standard DW-5600 features, including shock resistance, 200m water resistance, an EL backlight, and a stopwatch.
Unlike the rugged DW-5600, the Baby-G BA-110XLICH25-7PFL takes a lighter, more colorful approach. It has a frosted white resin case with hints of purple and blue across the dial and bezel. The face has a layered dial with metallic pink and silver accents.
This Baby-G model has a:
- Chums branding on the dial.
- Lunchbox-style case, rather than a traditional watch box.
- Bright pastel color mix.
- 100m water resistance, shock protection, world time, and stopwatch functions.
Both models are confirmed as China-only releases and are already available for purchase. The DW-5600LICH25-5PFL is priced at ¥990 (~$140), while the BA-110XLICH25-7PFL comes in slightly cheaper at ¥890 (~$125). While Casio has yet to announce any international availability, the design and branding indicate that these will likely remain limited to the Chinese market.
