Following the tradition of showing love to its racing-inspired moniker this year, Casio has refreshed its Edifice lineup with a set of new chronograph models for February 2025. Apart from keeping time—they look like the kind of watches that would look great for both business meetings or the weekend.
This release consists of models like the EFR-575D-1A, EFR-575D-2A, EFR-575L-7A, and EFR-575CL-3A. The stainless-steel variants (EFR-575D-1A and 2A) come with a solid, durable build, which is complemented by mineral domed glass that subtly curves — probably for better clarity. They’re water-resistant up to 100 meters asa well. On the other hand, models like the EFR-575L-7A and EFR-575CL-3A swap out metal for genuine leather straps, which lends a more relaxed, versatile vibe to the chronograph.
What sets these models apart is the design. Casio’s clearly drawing inspiration from classic sports cars, and it shows in the dual-tone dials that mimic the look of vintage dashboards. The sub-dials are neatly arranged, while the slim bezels and push buttons keep things sleek and understated.
Functionality hasn’t taken a backseat, either. All models feature a 1-second stopwatch, capable of measuring split times and even tracking 1st and 2nd place finishes. They’re powered by the SR920SW battery, which delivers around two years of life before needing a replacement.
For those who want a watch that does more than just tell the time, Casio’s latest Edifice models should be great. As of this writing, pricing info is unavailable, but since their launch is scheduled for sometime this month, we won't have to wait too long for the same.
