A new G-Shock leak has surfaced through @geesgshock on Instagram, showcasing two upcoming full-metal GM-110D models. While Casio has yet to make an official announcement, the leaked images confirm the existence of the previously speculated GM-110D-8A in silver and the GM-110BD-1A9 in black with a gold dial. Both models feature a forged stainless-steel bezel and bracelet.
According to the post, the GM-110D-8A is priced at ¥60,500 (~$399), while the GM-110BD-1A9 will cost ¥69,300 (~$457), making them among the priciest GM-110 variants. The weight comes in at 168g, which is a huge jump compared to standard resin-based GM-110 models. The metal construction and polished finish are an indicator that these watches are positioned as higher-end G-Shock models without crossing into luxury-tier pricing.
The leaked images provide a clear look at the watches, which retain the analog-digital hybrid display - a characteristic of the GM-110 series. The GM-110D-8A sports a silver-tone stainless-steel case, while the GM-110BD-1A9 goes for a black ion-plated case with a gold dial. The bracelet features a fold-over clasp with push-button release.
While official specifications are yet to be confirmed, based on past GM-110 models, the watches are likely to include:
- Shock-resistant stainless-steel case and bezel
- 200-meter water resistance
- Mineral glass crystal
- World time (31 time zones, 48 cities)
- 1/100-second stopwatch
- Countdown timer
- 5 daily alarms
- Full auto-LED backlight
- 12/24-hour time format
- Approx. 3-year battery life on a CR1220
Given the similarities to previous GM-110 models, an official launch could happen within the next few weeks. If past trends hold, these models will likely debut in Japan first before rolling out globally. For now, there’s no word from Casio, but given the clear, hands-on nature of the leak, it’s safe to say an official announcement isn’t far off.
