New Casio G-Shock GM-5600YM and GM-2100YM watches now available in the UK

Casio has launched the G-Shock Fine Metallic GM-5600YM-8, GM-5600YMG-9, GM-2100YM-8A, and GM-2100YMG-9A watches in the UK. These models are already available in other countries like the US and Japan and are notable for their stainless steel bezel and metal look Tough Silicone Bands.

The G-Shock Fine Metallic GM-5600YM-8ER and GM-5600YMG-9ER are digital watches priced at £229 and £259, respectively. The GM-5600YM-8 is silver with a black bezel surrounding a dark display, while the GM-5600YMG-9 is gold with a light display with dark figures. Features include dual time display formats, 200m water resistance and a five year battery life estimate. On top of this, there are tools like a multi-function alarm, a 24-hour countdown timer and a stopwatch.

The G-Shock Fine Metallic GM-2100YM-8AER and GM-2100YMG-9AER are hybrid models with slightly higher price tags of £239 and £279. The GM-2100YM-8 is silver all over with a dark digital display background, but the GM-2100YMG-9 has a black watch face and the same dark display with a gold bezel, casing and strap. Like the GM-5600YM, there are dual time formats, 200m water resistance, a countdown time and a stopwatch. The battery life estimate is lower at three years, and there are five daily alarms.

It is unclear whether the two other watches in this series, the GM-2100YMG-9A9 and the GM-5600YM-8A8, will also launch in the UK. Plus, these wearables are still listed as “coming soon” in other European countries like France, where prices will start from €239.
