Amazfit has just released the Active 2 (curr. $99.99 on Amazon) in Europe after presenting the smartwatch last month during CES 2025. However, it seems that the successor to the GTS 4 could soon be upon us.
Amazfit has not revealed anything officially yet. Instead, Ytechb has published official-looking renders of a smartwatch that it claims is internally known as 'A2435'. Given Amazfit's naming schemes, the device pictured fits the bill as a new GTS smartwatch.
Based on the images shared so far, it would seem that Amazfit will offer the so-called GTS 5 in blue or gold finishes, each with two hardware buttons and a squircle-shaped display surrounded by relatively thin bezels. Although Ytechb has not shared device specifications, the images contain a few hints about possible hardware.
For example, the rear-mounted sensor looks like the one Amazfit includes in the Active 2. Therefore, it looks likely that the GTS 5 will support skin temperature, heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. The unreleased smartwatch also appears to support Amazfit's existing software suite, including its readiness score functionality. While other details remain unknown for now, the publication of these images implies that it is almost ready to be released.
