Casio has officially launched the Pro Trek PRJ-B001WM-1 in the US. A collaboration with Tokyo-based fashion brand 'White Mountaineering', this special edition watch is designed for both outdoor use and urban wear.
The PRJ-B001WM-1 features a sleek, all-black design with White Mountaineering’s signature triangle patterns across the dial. The watch has a unique, minimalistic aesthetic, highlighted by engraved logos on the watch face and case back. Speaking of the case back, very few Casio watches feature such black designs, so that's definitely a pretty interesting aspect.
Built for the outdoors, the timepiece includes a rotary guard bezel that protects buttons during activities, a fire-retardant cloth band made from bio-based materials, and a durable 100-meter water resistance rating. Casio’s Tough Solar technology powers the watch, while Bluetooth connectivity allows easy time adjustment and access to features via the Casio Watches app, such as location tracking, reminders, and smartphone-linked functions.
Weighing just 47 grams, the PRJ-B001WM-1 is quite lightweight - all without compromising durability. The bio-based resin case further reflects Casio’s focus on eco-friendly materials. All the aforementioned features make it a standout option for adventurers and style enthusiasts alike.
While US pricing hasn't been divulged yet, the Pro Trek PRJ-B001WM-1 will likely be priced around the $200 mark, considering its price of ¥33,000 in Japan. The Casio watch is now live on the company's US store and comes in a special package that includes branding details from both Casio and White Mountaineering.
