A new Casio G-Shock 6900 Series watch is about to launch in Singapore and Malaysia: the DW-6900TNT24-7TSHIRT. This is the fourth collaboration model between Casio and thisisneverthat, which was launched in the Republic of Korea earlier this year.
The DW-6900TNT24-7 is based on the original DW-6900 watch from 1995, the first G-Shock watch with an electroluminescent (EL) backlight. The thisisneverthat logo is shown at the top of the watch face and again in the backlight. Otherwise, it has a minimal design with an ivory finish and comes with a black t-shirt also featuring the watch. The triple graph model has a digital display showing the time in a 12 or 24-hour format, with a fully automatic calendar (to 2099). Tools include a 1/100th-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and alarms. Plus, the watch offers 200m (~656 ft) water resistance and an estimated battery life of two years.
The Casio G-Shock DW-6900TNT24-7TSHIRT watch will retail in Singapore for S$249 (~$186) and in Malaysia for MYR818 (~$185). According to the brand’s websites, it is “coming soon”, possibly later in December. It is unclear if Casio plans to launch this wearable in other countries like the US, where the older DW6900-1V is currently available for $50.97.
