Less than a week has passed since Anbernic unveiled the RG34XX. While many of its peers take an age from presenting a device to actually selling it, Anbernic appears set on the target of releasing a new gaming handheld monthly throughout 2024. Officially, the company has not confirmed when the RG34XX will be available.
Retro Game Corps has offered a few insights in this regard, though. According to the popular YouTube channel, Anbernic will begin selling the RG34XX on December 16 from 10:00 UTC. Moreover, the device is said to retail for $70 plus shipping. However, its price should drop to $64 between December 16 and December 19.
Meanwhile, Anbernic itself has now confirmed all key device specifications, like the presence of an Allwinner H700 chipset and 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. In other words, the RG34XX should perform about as well as recent RG35XX models, including the RG35XX SP (curr. $89.99 on Amazon). Additionally, the RG34XX contains a 3,500 mAh battery, a 3.4-inch IPS display that resolves at 720 x 480 pixels and a modem that supports up to Bluetooth 4.2/Wi-Fi 5 connectivity.
